Yesterday's Bride

Description

It's been awhile since I've uploaded some pure photography. :)

My photos are never all that popular here, but that is okay. :) I do it because it is a love of mine, and for those scant few who do enjoy my photography...I give you a hearty 'thank you'! :D

Yesterday we attended my husband's nephew's wedding. Perfect spring day, beautiful bride, and handsome groom. I haven't been able to play with my new Canon Powershot much....so I was happy to have the chance to do that at their wedding. When we went indoors for the ceremony, the light was low... so I decided to switch it to black and white (which you can do in the camera settings), and to set the ISO to 800. I knew there would be a lot of grain, but I don't mind that with the black and white shots. I think it gives them a lovely, instant vintage feel. I also had it on the 'Wide Angle' selection, which I like.

The zoom on this thing is amazing. I was sitting three rows back from the stage they were on, and was able to zoom in close for this shot. It is uncropped, and untouched. I just loved the look of all the little pearls on her dress, and the bouquet.

Anyway... that's the story behind this shot. I might post a few more. :)

I don't know how far back three rows is, but judging a good estimate, that is an amazing shot from that far away!
