Artist's Comments

"Driving down a corduroy road,
Weeds standing shoulder high
Ferris wheel is rusting off in the distance
At the hundredth meridian where the Great Plains begin
Left alone to get gigantic;
Hard, huge, and haunted
A generation so much dumber than it's parents came
crashing through the window
A raven strains along the line of the road,
carrying a muddy, old skull
The wires whistle their approval,
off down the distance
At the hundredth meridian where the Great Plains begin......" The Tragically Hip

Artists's Note: I guess it was bound to happen. After almost an entire year of being totally and completely inspired, my spark of creativity has decided to take a little vacation lately. I have three pieces that I have started, and duly abandoned them to the dark folders in the back of my hard drive. Ah well. This too shall pass. :)

This little piece is something I've wanted to do for awhile now. I love the song it came from (there is a photograph in my gallery with practically the same title) - and wanted to do something a bit darker than normal. Perhaps it is the raining and flooding happening here that has me in a mood. Either way, I guess I'm glad that this one can see the light of day.

Nice, I have my ticket to see them on Jan 20th. Oh, and a great piece as well.

We can't go back to what we were. I don't know which way to move entirely, either.

Looks really good! For me it looks almost like a watercolour painting...well done again! :)

The structure was weak.
The new one is stronger.

But now it's continuously trembling.

I can't possibly tell you how jealous I am that you have tickets to see them. :D

Thank you!

Whoa, totally eerie, but awesome!

Agg, this weekend I had *for the first time* Scrub Jay's land on me and feed from my hand... but this makes it creepy, even though it's a crow...

Great work as usual!
How's life for you?

God Bless

Your no help, he said to the lime. This was unfair, it was only a lime. Nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could. :lemon:

I like the way you layed this piece out. The colours and angle are very nice. I like the infinity of the road. Great job.

If you haven't already, you should enter this into Lilly's crow contest.
