A note about watermarks:

The unfortunate reality is, I have had my artwork stolen by professionals, and SOLD....for monetary gain, in the past. And while a certain percentage of that I can shrug off and say "Gee, it's hard enough for me to make a buck off my artwork... more power to them..." it gets to be something else entirely when others completely strip my name from the work, claim it as theirs, and start turning a profit.

I'm fortunate. I'm one of the folks from DeviantArt who has gone on to have a full art career. My works can be found as a variety of products all over the world. Some artists feel as if they can take the risk in exhibiting their art with no watermark. I'm at the point where, especially with some very popular images such as this one, I cannot.

So, in a sense - yes, I agree. Seeing the watermark does ruin the experience. It's an ugly necessity. One I wish I didn't have to use. And yes, I'm fully aware that experienced photoshoppers can easily clone out and remove any watermark they wish. But perhaps it will be just enough of a roadblock for them to move onward.

All that being said, thank you SO much to everyone for the wonderful compliments. This is a very special piece to me, and I truly appreciate the support!!
