And now for a change of pace...

This is a photograph I took on my way home from my recent vacation on the Oregon Coast. About halfway home, there is a place alongside the Columbia River, where the Maryhill Museum is. It is an exact replica of what Stonehenge would look like if it were not in ruins. I have been to the real Stonehenge in England - and while it was much more of a thrill to see.... I wish it were located where *this* particular henge is. Right on a cliff overlooking the river, and wide sweeping hills of the gorge.

At any rate, I added some texture, and played with it a bit... and decided 'less is more' with this one. I just really like the feel of this one.

Photograph and texture are my own.

It's lovely piece of texturing and i love the photo as well. It has a dark kind of feel to it. Have you watched King Arthur, the film? Most of the scenery in it is like this. Dark and brooding. I love it. :+favlove:

I agree with the 'less is more' idea. This one definitely looks like it would fit on a goth album cover. Beautiful :D

:D You're very welcome!
I'm feeling much happier thanks for asking -now that it is spring I can cope again :XD:

I haven't been able to do much artwork for ages though, so you'll find it a bit empty if you do pop over
If you get chance, you might prefer to take a quick peek at my new website instead - that's where most of my creativeness has been diverted to lately ;)

I love the way the monotone colouring creates a mood for the piece and the graininess of the texture. Well done. :)
