A new tribute to Phantom of the Opera.

I was doing some spring cleaning this past weekend, and was going through an old trunk I use as a combination side table/storage box. In it were quite a few momentos from when Andrew Lloyd Webber's ';Phantom' first opened on Broadway in 1986, when I was just 15. Of course, I was head over heels in love with the production back then, and am still a fan now.

I have the vinyl album of the original London cast. A theatre program. A mask (of course!). Even a Phantom of the Opera pop-up book, that I bought new in the book store back in 1988! Imagine my surprise when I saw it listing anywhere from 40.00 - 80.00 now. :faint: (here is a link to it: [link] )

So, from time to time, I cannot resist doing a piece like this. Especially when I see such beautiful stock, like the one I used here from ~PirateQueen-Stock. The stock piece is painfully small, as well as blurry (but only because she was using an older digital camera at the time. Her new stuff is knockout gorgeous!!) - so I took time to paint in the details very carefully. The photo was already fantastic to begin with... including that amazing throne! :faint: But I wanted to see how I could make it even better, by giving it a crisp painting, with lots of tiny details. :D

Thanks for looking!

That's real nice work. :D

Love the expression of her face, averted eyes, and the flurry of white detailed lace on her sleeves and the hem of her dress.

I set all this cardboard on fire. You make for the trap door and I'll dive through the window.
