And now for something completely different (thank you, Monty Python. lol)
This was a fun thing I did yesterday, for the Affirmation Monday project created by the wonder-duo of Angi and Silas from Duirwaigh Gallery. [link] I have never really incorporated text into my artwork, so it was fun thinking of my own inspirational words, and fitting them into a picture.
I decided to go with a more 'collage' type of feel for this. I had to really fight my blending urges, and let the picture almost appear 3D. In the end, I really enjoy how it turned out! Almost like a journal page, or something like that.
I hope you like it too!
EDIT: OH! I almost forgot - the link to describe what 'by-the-wind sailors' are!

In short, they are a small type of jellyfish which float on the surface of the water, and have little sails on the top which help catch the sea breezes and move them along.

paper parasols: Purchased from photos.com - photo ID numbers 22595871 and 22596411 (I put the ID numbers, because dA's default emote program makes long links go haywire. )
