Hello all!  Or those of you who still check this now and then.  

If you haven't noticed, my time here on dA has scaled back to a tiny smidgen of what it once was.  But there is good reason!  For the past year and a half, I have been delving into the literary world.  I have been working tirelessly on my very first children's book!  It has been a total labor of love, and has taught me so much.  And at last, I am on the cusp of finishing it!

Next week I am flying to LA to meet with my writing partner Chris Dane Owens, and we will be putting the finishing touches on the text of the book.  After that?  Off it goes, into the waiting hands of three different publishers.  Who it will end up being published by is anyone's guess... but any one of these prospects would make me squeal with glee.

I can hardly, HARDLY wait to share it with you all.  Even though I've made other artwork during this time, my heart and soul has gone into this book.  Some characters will be familiar... as you've seen them before in old works.  Some characters are new.  And the story?  Well... if you like animals, and you like music...  it's a safe bet you'll probably like the story.

So thank you to everyone who has continued visiting my page here, supporting my artwork, and leaving me such inspiring, uplifting messages.  I really do read them, even if I haven't been able to reply to them as I'd like.  I hope, once the whirlwind of finishing this book dies down, that I'll be able to stop by here much more often.

Watch out Hollywood!  Here I come!!!!!
